Die Zukunft des Dezentralen - Stiftung Baukultur Weimar

Colloquium — The future of the decentralized

Stiftung Baukultur Thuringen initiates a series of colloquia under the header ‘Die Zukunft des Dezentralen / the future of the decentralized’.

‘How is life in a decentralized area? How do perspectives and innovations arise? Who are the actors and how do they live, live and work? The Baukultur Thuringia Foundation invites selected actors to two digital evening events as part of the exhibition Wohnschau Thuringia to report on their actions, their motivation and wealth of ideas. What is it that defines living in Thuringia, in particular, but also in other decentralized areas of Europe, what potential does it have and how can resilience, quality and innovations be developed?’ – Stiftung Baukultur Thüringen (website) / Google Translate

On Dezember 09, 2021 Robert Ilgen and I will be in an online conversation with Jessica Christoph and Stephan Jung.

Stiftung Baukultur Thüringen Studio is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.

“For many artists, the making of books and publications has been an important way to show and spread their work outside museums and galleries. Recent technological developments have dramatically lowered the threshold for producing a publication. An unfortunate effect of these technological advances is the disappearance of bookshops specializing in these types of publications.”

I was here - CNA Dudelange / Luxembourg

A Venir / I was here — CNA, Dudelange / Luxembourg

March 26, 2010 – June 13, 2010
CNA Dudelange / Luxembourg

I was here questions and presents different approaches to the subject of tourism, from a photographic heritage, which seems to be innocuous, anonymous, forgotten and often of average quality – from the technical point of view.
With almost obsessive rigor – but not without humor – Joachim Schmid explores the world of found photographs for many years now, Robert Schlotter, who draws his images from recovered Super8-films, addresses the process of creating memory, and Erik Kessels chases stories worth telling from the collections, which were taken out of their original context.
